Historical background: The village was founded in 1732. According to legend, in a settlement on a hill near the river Ruda lived a very beautiful girl Salykha. At that time, the Golden Horde ruled here, plundering and burning villages, and its main prey was the "yasir", ie the young population. Yasir - prisoners captured by Turks and Crimean Tatars during raids on Ukrainian, Russian, Belarusian, Polish, Moldavian lands, as well as Kalmyks, Nogai and Bashkirs during raids on settlements in the Volga region, the Urals and Siberia from the XV - to the middle of the XVIII century . The Golden Horde (Great Power) is a medieval state in Eurasia. During the Tatar invasion, their military leader fell in love with Salykha, and when the girl refused him, he killed her. The settlement was named after the brave girl and the people who survived. According to the legends of the oldest inhabitants of the village it is known. In the area where the village is now located, there were dense forests, which were home to many wolves. A man named Salo settled with his family near the Ruda River. He built a wooden house, and later other families began to settle here. This settlement was called Salykha - after the first inhabitant. The origin of the name of the river Salikha - "river, spring, water". In 1898 the St. Michael's Church was built in the village.
